Travel by car from Vancouver to Victoria and along Vancouver Islands east coast to Port Hardy. Take a ferry and cruise through the scenic Discovery (Inside) Passage to the remote settlement of Bella Coola. The full day tour onboard the BC Ferry takes you past calm inlets, lush evergreen covered island and near majestic coastal mountains. Explore parts of the Tweedsmuir Provincial Park during a flightseeing tour or canoe excursion. The Rocky Mountains are providing a multitude of sightseeing opportunities: Jasper, the Icefields Parkway, Lake Louise and Banff.
ITINERARY

Vancouver
Surrounded by the waters of the Pacific Ocean and nestled alongside the Coast Mountain Range, Vancouver is home to spectacular natural scenery and many attractions. Visit Stanley Park, Granville Island or the historic Gastown area. Try some of the excellent prepared seafood speciaiities in one of the many restaurants in the evening.

Vancouver - Victoria
Your itinerary starts with a 1.5-hour ferry cruise from the mainland to Vancouver Island. Stopover to visit Butchart Gardens with 55 acres of floral displays. Upon arrival in Victoria you have plenty of time to explore the capital city of BC on your own: stroll along the Inner Harbor, attend the High Tea Ceremony at the famous Empress Hotel or simply discover the many shopping opportunities along Douglas Street.

Victoria
Another full day in Victoria. You may want to discover some of the area attractions: take the Beach Drive to Oak Bay, explore Beacon Hill and Mount Douglas Park with great views across the Gulf Islands or take a harbour and whale watching cruise. A dinner in Victoria’s Chinatown restaurants is a great experience too

Victoria – Campbell River
Leave Victoria and travel north to Cambell River and scenic Quadra Island. Watch for Bald Eagles along Rebecca Spit, take a guide salmon fishing trip, visit the native Kwaglulth Museum or just relax and enjoy the view across the inlet from the Tsa-Kwa-Luten Lodge. .

Campbell River – Port Hardy
On your way to Port Hardy, make sure to stop-by at Telegraph Cove. The pictureque "boardwalk village" with the whole community raised on wooden stilts over the waters offers great whale watching tours. Arrive at Port Hardy. The important ferry terminal is serving remote coastal communities and the famous Inside Passage.

Discovery Passage Ferry
The ferry follows BC's rugged coastline to remote native or fishing settlements. During layovers get to know the way of living in the First Nation Communities of McLoughlin Bay and Shearwater. Depends on the ferry schedule you may overnigh onboard the ferry or at Bella Coola.

Tweedsmuir Park Area
Continue your journey on the rugged Bella Coola Gravel Highway into Tweedsmuir Park. Still virtually undiscovered, a land of mystery where wild nature, ancient cultures and everyday adventure co-exist. Overnight: Anahim Lake

The Tweedsmuir Park provides unparalled outdoor activities. Capture its stunning natural beauty during a hiking trip, fishing tour or in wilderness photography. Unique riding and eco adventures take you to remote places seldom visited. Overnight: Williams Lake

Williams Lake – Wells Gray
Continue your journey through the Cariboo & Chilcotin region to Wells Gray Park, famous for its waterfalls, the colorful alpine flower meadows and wildlife viewing. Overnight at the park entrance.

Wells Gray - Jasper
Travel towards the Canadian Rockies, past Blue River and Valemount. Stopover at Mount Robson Park with the highest peak in West Canada. After a short drive you’ll arrive in Jasper. Time to visit the area attractions or to attend a leisurely rafting trip on the Athasca River.

Jasper
Jasper is located admist the most beautiful wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. In the morning visit Maligne Canyon, Medicine Lake and glacier-fed Maligne Lake. From here you may take a scenic cruise to Spirit Island. Don’t miss with the Jasper tramway to the top of Whistler Mountain (Elevation 2277 meters) with a spectacular 360-degree view of Jasper National Park.

Jasper - Banff
One of the world's greatest mountain highways, the Icefields Parkway offers outstanding viewpoints and wildlife observation. At the mighty Columbia Icefield you can take a Snocoach tour onto the Athabasca Glacier for an awe-inspiring experience.

Banff
Banff National Park offers spectacular mountain scenery and many attractions. Visit today the Upper Hot Springs, Bow Falls, the Hoodoos or play golf in front of the Banff Springs Hotel. Well worth is the gondola ride to the Top of Sulphur Mountain.

Banff - Calgary
It is time to leave Banff National Park and the Rocky Mountains. Travel on the Trans-Canada-Highway #1 to Calgary and return your rental car.
