Rental car pick up and check in at your downtown hotel. The vibrant city of Calgary is nestled beside the Rocky Mountain foothills and famous for the "Calgary Stampede" Rodeo in July. Tour the city and take an elevator to the top of the Calgary Tower which offers unparalleled views of the city, mountains and prairies beyond.

From Calgary travel on the Trans-Canada-Highway #1 and cross the Alberta/BC border. Stopover at Lake Louise and Moraine Lake. Continue to Yoho National Park and visit enchanted Emerald, Takakkaw Falls and the Natural Bridge. After crossing Kicking Horse Pass you arrive at the quaint town of Golden. Overnight.

Leave Revelstoke National Park and drive to the Okanagan Valley. With over 2,000 hours of sunshine every year, the valley offers the longest, sunniest and driest summer season in Canada. Alternatively you can take the Coquihalla Highway to Hope and continue to Vancouver. Surrounded by the Pacific Ocean and nestled alongside the Coast Mountains, multi-cultural Vancouver is is one of the most spectacular cities in the world.

Spend the day to visit the sights & attractions of Vancouver including Stanley Park, the vibrant shopping districts along Robson Street, the historic Gastown, Chinatown, Stanley Park and the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Grouse Mountain offers incredible views of the city.

Vancouver - Campbell River

Your vacation starts with a 1.5-hour ferry cruise from the mainland to Nanaimo or Victoria on Vancouver Island. Drive along the coastline north past Parksville and arrvie in Campbell River - also known as the salmon fishing capital of British Columbia.

Campbell River - Port Hardy

On your way to Port Hardy, make sure to stop-by at Telegraph Cove. The pictureque "boardwalk village" is a whole community raised on wooden stilts over the waters who offers excellent whale watching tours. Arrive at Port Hardy, an important ferry terminal for the Inside Passage.

Take an unforgettable day cruise aboard the ferry through the majestic Inside Passage. Aside from a short stretch of open ocean the route leads through a narrow maze of channels, passes, and reaches. Keep your eyes peeled for whales, purpoises and bald eagles.

Today you have the opportunity to enjoy a whale watching cruise or attend a bear viewing tour. The wildlife viewing tour takes you north through Chatham Sound, then East into rugged fjords and pristine wilderness to the Khutzeymateen home of the largest population of Grizzly Bears anywhere on Earth. The area is home to a large variety of other wildlife including: Orca Whales, eagles, seals, mountain goats and black bears.

Prince Rupert - Prince George

Follow the Yellowhead Highway and stop at the Gitksan Native Village of 'Ksan, adjacent to the town of Old Hazelton with a large totem pole collection. From here you can take a detour to Fort St. James, an authentic 1896 Hudson's Bay Company fur trading post.

Prince George - Jasper National Park

Continue to Tete Jaune Cache, hike to the Rearguard Falls where you can see salmon attempting to leap the falls. On your way to Jasper you pass Mt. Robson, the tallest mountain of the Canadian Rockies and the origin of the mighty Fraser River.

Jasper - Banff National Park
|
Jasper is located admist the most beautiful wilderness of the Rocky Mountains. Visit the sights - Pyramid Lake, Medicine Lake and Maligne Canyon. Travel along the Icefields Parkway with outstanding viewpoints and excellent wildlife viewing to Lake Louise. After your area sightseeing is completed continue your journey to Banff.

Explore the sights of Banff - the Upper Hot Springs, Cave and Basin Centre, Bow Falls and the Hoodoos or play a round of golf in front of the Banff Springs Hotel. Well worth is the gondola ride to the Top of Sulphur Mountain for an amazing 360-degree mountain view.

It is time to leave Banff National Park and the Rocky Mountains. Take the Trans-Canada-Highway towards Calgary. Return your rental car.
