The race starts at 10:00 am. Observe the start preparation and take close up pictures with and from the
musher’s and their dog teams. Evening: Welcome Dinner. Overnight in Anchorage.

Anchorage - Yentna Checkpoint - Remote Lodge ( Flights )
Fly-out with a ski-plane to Yentna Station - the first checkpoint in the wilderness. 3 h. Stopover. The flight continues
along the Iditarod Trail to our remote lodge. Time for snowmobiling & ice fishing. Dinner and overnight.

Lodge - Finger Lakes Checkpoint - Lodge (Flights)
Scenic flightseeing trip to Finger Lakes - surrounded by the magnificent mountains scenery of the Alaska Range.
Full day to observe race activities. Return to the lodge. Dinner & overnight.

Lodge - Rainy Pass Checkpoint - Anchorage
Fly-out to Rainy Pass or Puntilla Lakes Checkpoint. Many musher’s taking their mandatory 24-hour rest here.
Late afternoon return flight to Anchorage. Hotel transfer.

Anchorage - Seward - Cooper Landing
Sightseeing Tour by van to Seward along Turnagain Arm with panoramic views across Cook Inlet. 3 hours whale
watching cruise through Resurrection Bay. Dinner and overnight at a deluxe resort surrounded by Kenai Mountains.

Cooper Landing - Girdwood / Alyeska Ski Area
Departure to Alaska’s largest ski area which rises from sea level to 2500 ft. Use your tram ticket for a trip to the
top of Mount Alyeska for a magnificent view of the surrounding seven glaciers. Evening: Farewell dinner at a local
restaurant.

Girdwood - Anchorage / Departure Day
Morning departure to Anchorage. A last glimpse of the beauty of Alaska’s winter wonderland as we return. Arrival
approximately at 11:00 am. Transfer to the airport or program extension.
