See it, Live it, Feel it - be a Part of it! Observe the 1100 Mile long Yukon Quest Sled Dog Race which offers an experience that reflects the spirit and perseverance of the pioneers who discovered themselves in their wild search for adventure, glory, and wealth in the Frozen North.

Our individual tours are offering the perfect combination of race observation and winter activities originating at remote resorts and wilderness lodges.
 
   
Package #1     RACE START in FAIRBANKS, FINISH in FAIRBANKS
DAY ITINERARY ACCOMMODATION
01 Fairbanks
Pick up your rental car at the airport and drive to your pre-reserved hotel in a perfect downtown location. Remaining day on your own. Evening: Yukon Quest Opening Banquet including Dinner. Meet the musher "up-close-and-personal".

02 Fairbanks
Breakfast at the hotel. Start of the 1.000 Mile long Yukon Quest Race. Observe the start preparations, enjoy the bustling atmosphere and take some once of a lifetime pictures from the teams. Continue by car to North Pole - one of the checkpoints along the trail. Return to Fairbanks. The city hosts a variety of events: Ice carving festival, winter carnival and more. Evening: watch for the glorious Northern Lights - or Aurora Borealis - on the clear polar sky.

03 Fairbanks - Central (Checkpoint #2)
Morning: Return your rental car. Flight from Fairbanks to Central - Mile 110 on the Yukon Quest Trail. Observe the race activities life on the 2cd checkpoint. Transfer to the Circle Hot Springs Resort. Enjoy the large outdoor thermal pool at this historic resort once discovered by Kutchin Indians. The area - just below the Polar Circle - belongs to one of the best areas in Alaska to observe the Northern Lights.

04 Central
Morning: Race observation (depends on schedule). Afternoon: Guided sled dog or snowmachine tour (included) Relax, get a massage or soak in the 139 F. thermal water.

05 Central - Fairbanks
Morning: Return flight to Fairbanks. Transfer to the airport. Departure or individual program extension.
 
Note: The tour is also available in opposite direction if the race starts in Whitehorse.

DAY ITINERARY ACCOMMODATION
01 Whitehorse
Arrival in Whitehorse. Rental car pick up and check in at your hotel in downtown location. Remaining day on your own. Evening: Yukon quest opening Banquet including Dinner.

02 Whitehorse - Marsh Lake
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning: Start of the 1.000 Mile long Yukon Quest Race. Observe the start preparations, enjoy the bustling atmosphere and take some once of a lifetime pictures from the teams. Whitehorse hosts a variety of events during the race. One not to miss is the Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous Festival. Late afternoon drive to your deluxe resort on the shore of the frozen Marsh Lake. The resort features: Large log main building, library, restaurant (gourmet meals prepared by European trained chefs), sauna, hot tub. All rooms with down duvets, seating area, private bathroom and lake view. Overnight including 3 course dinner.

03 Marsh Lake
Breakfast. A day to enjoy the many activities the resort has to offer. Sled dog tours, snowmobiling, ice fishing, x-country skiing, snowshoeing. Or just relax and enjoy the breathtaking winter wonderland atmosphere. Evening: watch for the Northern Lights dancing across the clear sky. Dinner and overnight at the resort.

04 Marsh Lake - Whitehorse - Dawson City
Morning: Depart by car to Whitehorse. Flight to Dawson City. The scenic gold rush community is the 4th checkpoint along the trail and the place were every musher need to take the mandatory 38 h layover. Check in at your hotel in prime downtown location. Observe the race activities and get close up information about the race, mushers and more…You will have plenty of time to discover the history of the charming gold rush community - well known for the largest gold nuggets ever found.

05 Dawson City
A day to explore and view the many relicts of the gold rush era. A not to miss attraction is Diamond tooth Gerties Saloon with the only legal gambling hall of the Yukon Territory. And the famous “ Can-Can “ dancers. Of course, the race is still on and you may try to chat or take pictures with some mushers.

06 Dawson city - Whitehorse
Return flight to Whitehorse. End of the scheduled tour program or individual extension. We recommend another stay in one of our resorts for more outdoor activities or Northern Lights viewing.
