| A new definition of wilderness is now a reality in the Muskwa-Kechika located in the Northern Rockies Provincial Park, just one hour by air charter from Fort St. John and 30 minutes from Fort Nelson. This wilderness area is often referred to as the “Serengeti of North America” for its abundance of wildlife. The newly opened resort features six guest rooms with private baths, a guest lounge with an enchanting stone fireplace, a dining room, kitchen, an indoor exercise studio with the latest in exercise equipment and a ballet bar. | The picture-perfect Lodge fits harmoniously into 300 private acres of bench land overlooking the Peace Reach of Williston Lake. Our southern exposure provides magnificent views of the lake and the Canadian Rocky Mountains at an elevation of 729m. The closest city to the lodge is Fort St. John, 1.5 hours (110 km). The historic town of Hudson's Hope is only25 minutes away. Non-extreme adventures, sports and guided activities include river trips, hiking, boating, wildlife viewing, photography and heli fishing. Exceptional service, great dining, good company and breathtaking scenery are the hallmarks of this facility. The main lodge features eight guest suites with private bath and a satellite internet connection. We also have a private chalet with 3 suites available. The common areas include the dining room and lounge with fireplace. Enjoy an evening of great music, the finest of beverages, and a stroll on the wrap-around deck for a soak in the outdoor hot tub under the Northern Lights. | The swiss owned and operated lodge is located in the center of Muncho Lake Provincial Park, on the famous Alaska Highway between Watson Lake and Fort Nelson. The 14,000 square foot impressive log lodge features 21 guest bedrooms with private bath, TV and lake or mountain view. The great room features vaulted ceilings and a dining area completed with a 45 foot high stone fireplace. Waterfront cabins and chalets with bedrooms, full kitchen, fireplace and private bath are available. Our Chefs pride themselves in European and American cuisine. Daily activities may include fishing trips with floatplanes, local glacier and Nahanni National Park flight seeing tours, mountain bike rentals, hiking day trips, outdoor education, horseback riding, boat tours, canoe, kayak rentals, and white water rafting. Enjoy the sauna in the evening or soak in the healing waters of nearby 112 F Liard Hot Springs. Out-post cabins, photosafari, fly-in fishing and hiking tour packages on request. Guests may fly-in from Edmonton or drive to the Lodge. |
