PRS#01 Steller Sea Lions, Wildlife Tour
Come with us to experience these magnificent marine mamals, the endangered Stellar Sea Lions. The North Coast has a number of well known rookeries where adult animals gather to breed and give birth. The Stellar Sea Lions are the largest eared seals with males weighing up to 1800 lbs. Females are much smaller at 570 lbs. The thick neckof the males resemble a lionsmane, which is why they are called Sea Lions. Come listen to them roar. Other animals we may encounter are orca whales, gray whale whales, porpoise, harbour seals, eagles and more. |
