Buffalo Mountain Lodge, Banff
 Buffalo Mountain Lodge
Buffalo Mountain Lodge lies on the gentle slopes of Tunnel Mountain, which native people called "sleeping buffalo". The Main Lodge compliments its natural setting with square timber, post and beam construction, and high open ceilings. Decor pays tribute to old-world craftsmanship, from custom made cherry, pine and bent-willow furnishings to copper and glass light fixtures. Simple, elegant design is a hallmark of the resort, and symbolizes the lifestyle at the Lodge.

The 108 guest rooms at Buffalo Mountain Lodge have balconies or patios (except one bedroom suites), private baths and a wood burning fieldstone fireplace, stocked daily with complimentary firewood. Room amenities include feather duvets and pillows, telephones, cable televisions, in-room coffee makers, clock radios, irons/ironing boards and hair dryers. Suites feature an additional living room and small kitchenette facilities including a microwave, stovetop and fridge.

Dining is a delicious departure from the ordinary. We have been celebrated in the local and international media for our introduction of Rocky Mountain Cuisine. The combination of lavish Victorian cooking from the CPR rail cars and the hearty meals prepared by Swiss and Austrian mountain guides provide the basis for our unique cuisine. Our wine list has been awarded the "Wine Spectator Award of Excellence" from 1995 through 2002. We proudly feature an excellent selection of Canadian V.Q.A. wines, including Canada's best Ice Wines, as well as over 425 premium wines from around the world. After dinner sit in the lounge under a towering open-beam ceiling and antler chandelier, feel the warmth of the massive field-stone fireplace and enjoy a fine port or cappuccino. The casual Cilantro Mountain Café, influenced by our Native Indian past offers local wild game and our own creativity and culinary expertise. The result is true to the spirit of California Cuisine, but more rustic and hearty than you would find in the city and completely unique.
SilverTip & Banff Springs Golf Courses
Banff Springs Golf Course
Renowned for its panoramic beauty, The Fairmont Banff Springs Golf Course is a captivating and challenging layout set in the heart of Canada's Rocky Mountains. The course offers just two simple things. First, a breathtaking view in every direction and second, a magnificent layout that thrills every golfer fortunate enough to spend a day here. Amateurs and professionals alike are constantly amazed by its panoramic challenge. From the actual hole design to the optical illusions created by the surrounding mountains, this course will delight and tempt you. Stanley Thompson, Canada's master golf course architect, used his expert talent when he designed the original 18 holes in 1928. The course winds along the Bow River under the snow-capped peaks of Sulphur Mountain and Mount Rundle. In 1989, 9 holes were added, resulting in 27 holes of championship layout.
